I had no right

I had no right.

But  words kept coming like ghosts creeping from shadows past.

Shifting thoughts shuffling through words
all wasted in a swift breath.

There is no right way to break a heart.

You try to hide the weight of thoughts in your eyes
but they can’t lie, for I have seen them cry.

If only I could…

But there is no time to waste
Youth is watching you pass by

In time Truth will heal.

  1. Very True Caleb and we have to seek God for His Truth not man and we ask and receive His wisdom and empowering without them we cannot know His Truth. 1Corinthians 2:9-16 and we are to stand up for God’s Truth regardless of the cost to us and we will want to, The Holy Spirit is not mute.

Luke 11:9-10 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.(KJV)

Matthew 23:8-10 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in Heaven. And do not be called Teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. NKJV

The gift of Teaching is not about man’s fleshy worldly understanding, it is as Paul shows us in 1Corinthians2:9-16 we share what The Lord leads us to share by the empowering of the Holy Spirit, we are not the Teachers and we have God’s Authority not our own and it is to be shared freely without profit .

Luke 16:30-31 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

James 1:5-6 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Luke 11:13 …… how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

    Christian Love in Christ Jesus.

  2. Thank you for the response…funny thing I just re-read my prose and feels like a lot of rambling! Most likely because it is…I guess I need more incubation time before I actually press the publish bottom! Independently thank you for sharing all those beautiful verses!

One more note about the poem, the prose is written from the point of view of someone who needs to confront a friend, a lover, a family member about something that is hurting them but that the realization will hurt them in the short them but with it had to be said for the sake of the other. I may come back and re-edit it…is that allowable? Maybe…

    Many blessings!!!
