FRONTLINE (The Edge of the Fall)

Frontline
(At the edge of the fall)

My hands tremble
at the sight before me.

A battle unfolds
and I lack the strength.

Slowly across the land
fear pierces hope.

The frontline begins to falter
and I

I cannot bear the weight.

I look for courage
but it has abandon me.

Despondent and meek

I rip my memories apart
looking for hope in your smile.

I reach deeper and with a breath
a prayer rush out of my lips.

I am still standing,

right there at the edge of the fall
holding on to that smile of yours

to carry me on…

  1. Thank you Caleb, your expression of fear and than Trust was good.

Yes sometimes we need encouragement to do what seems impossible, I see The Lord’s smile everywhere, in His creation and when others share His Love and this is His encouragement to me or His smile, He tells us to come to Him when we have heavy burdens and I do.
